Check Out These Navy SEALS Exhibits in Virginia Beach Online

One of the best parts of living in our Virginia Beach apartments is the proximity to the beautiful Atlantic seashore. As a coastal hotspot, there are also many museums and monuments that highlight the history of the Navy Seals.

Here are a few local tributes that are worth checking out online and in person:

The Virginia Beach Navy SEAL Museum

At the Virginia Beach Navy SEAL Museum, online guests are invited to view plenty of images from random photographs, use keyword searches to locate specific interests, dig into the archives, and more. Their extensive online database is packed with hundreds of different types of content for history buffs, veterans, and ordinary folk to enjoy.  As the curators say on this historic website, "If you got any closer you would have to enlist."

The Virginia Beach SEAL Monument

A statue entitled the Naked Warrior at the Virginia Beach Seal Monument is said to be a long-overdue tribute to these highly skilled and well-trained soldiers. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this picturesque placement and stunning sculpture isn't the only one of its kind. One of a few, this life-size recreation depicts a member of a WWII Underwater Demolition Team swimmer facing the ocean, insurmountable odds, and circumstances to perform his duty. Images on this website showcase some stunning views of both the statue and the seashore.

In closing and for those unaware, the acronym SEAL stands for the United States Navy Sea, Air, and Land teams. If you're looking for more historic and scenic venues like these, check out articles like this one on our blog.
