Check Out These Virginia Beach Chocolate Shops

When your sweet tooth strikes, local candy stores offer everything from chocolate cashew clusters to chocolate-covered caramels. Try one of these delicious chocolate shops near our apartments in Virginia Beach for your next treat.

The Royal Chocolate

When Brenda and Terry signed the lease for The Royal Chocolate, the concrete for the shop wasn't fully poured yet. Today, the ladies offer a warm, inviting atmosphere. The store comes complete with a fireplace, colorful flowers, and plenty of tables and chairs so that you can enjoy a sweet treat. Offerings include truffles, triple chocolate apples, and assortment boxes that are perfect for when you just can't decide.

Forbes Candies

When Charlie and Marion Forbes were a young married couple, he made ends meet by selling candy bars in a Norfolk office building. That's when his interest in the candy business grew. Soon, Charlie and Marion created the first Forbes Candies kitchen in their basement. They sold their peanut brittle and saltwater taffy door-to-door and opened their first brick and mortar location in 1933. It quickly became a local favorite and remains that way today. Offerings include chocolate-covered bacon, chocolate peanut clusters, and dark chocolate sea salt caramels.

Kilwins

At Kilwins, you can watch as the candy is made before your eyes. The skilled team uses old-fashioned techniques to create caramel apples, paddle fudge on marble tables, and more. The selection also includes a range of your chocolate favorites. Try the Cashew Bear Claws, almond toffee bark, or milk chocolate cherry cordials. You can shop in the store or order online for easy curbside pickup.
