Speakers include war correspondents, humorists, and heads of state.

The Virginia Arts Festival is the largest performing arts organization in southeastern Virginia. It's known for transforming the region's cultural scene and has presented numerous regional and world premieres. The Virginia Arts Festival offers over 250 performances every season. Virginia Symphony Orchestra
At the center of the Hampton Roads art community, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra has been entertaining audiences for 100 years. The musicians come from near and far. They play a wide range of instruments and perform everything from the pops to the classics. Music Director Eric Jacobsen is one of the most innovative young conductors today. He's known for offering fresh takes on traditional pieces. When Eric isn't conducting, he's a dedicated chamber musician.
