WinterFest on the Wisconsin
Numerous nights make up WinterFest on the Wisconsin in Downtown Norfolk. You can enjoy the amazing light display at this waterfront festival. More than 650,000 lights decorate the venue. Live entertainment, "holiday beverages and bites," and a lighted boat parade are just a few of the fun offerings. You can book your weekend experience anytime between the middle of November and the beginning of January. The event opens on Veterans Day and encourages veterans to attend, free of charge.
Holiday Parade at the Beach
Lighted floats, marching bands, dance groups, fire trucks, and more make their way through the crowd at this event. The Holiday Parade at the Beach takes place on December 4th. It runs down Atlantic Avenue, from 15th to 25th. More than 80 parade units make up the show, giving you plenty to watch and enjoy for a while. Be there well before the show starts at 5:30 p.m. to get a good watching spot!
Surf-N-Santa 5 Miler
Racing through a parade of lights can help make your holiday season bright and fun. Join the Surf-N-Santa 5 Miler hosted by BayPort Credit Union. Racers run down the Virginia Beach Boardwalk on December 18th. After that, attend the post-race party. Be sure to register in advance.
